Maritime students can apply for individual stipends from the Foundation. The Foundation can approve stipends towards the cost of temporary accommodation at college. Students with children under 18 years of age can also apply for a stipend.
Criteria for individual stipends:
- Applicant is a student at a Swedish maritime school and registered for a course of a least three months’ duration.
- Applicant already holds a Sea Captain’s or Sea engineer’s exam and is taking a “magister” or masters course at a Swedish maritime school.
- Swedish applicant taking courses, similar to above, at an international maritime college.
Stipend for student accommodation
- Applicants that incur costs for secondary accommodation are required to authenticate these costs by providing rental agreements or similar proof for both their ordinary home and their college accommodation.
Stipend for financial responsibility for children
- Applicants with children under 18 years of age must include a certificate from the local tax office confirming this. (Personbevis / Familjebevis)
How to apply:
Stipends must be applied for separately for each college term. The Foundation’s specific application form must be used. Application form. The application is to be validated and certified by the college and sent to the Foundation’s office by 15th February for the spring term and by 25th September for the autumn term.
